It is amazing how cool and unfazed this young man (Artur, who is 21yrs old, according to the notes in YouTube) was while handling the traffic at such a busy intersection in Toronto. What’s even more amazing is the response from the drivers.. They just follow his guidance and move along without much trouble.. Above all, kudos to the cops for not arresting him (which could very well be the case in some cities in the US).
This is bat s**t crazy..Whew! French daredevil, Francois Gissy, set a new speed record on a bike – an astonishing 163mph, besting his own previous record of 150mph set in 2002. How did he do it – by strapping a hydrogen peroxide powered rocket to it! Want to know something more crazier – it is still not the fastest bicycle speed record. While Gissy broke the record for rocket-powered bikes, he was still 4 MPH off the fastest cycling speed of 167 MPH that Dutch cyclist Fred Rompelberg set in 1995 while riding in a slipstream, sans rocket! Clearly, my life is quite boring. Read more here.
Found this floating on my news feed.. Too cool to not share.. Enjoy!
Apart from the ability to show how cool you are, this new innovation from Monkey Light Pros (currently in Kickstarter), will make you quite visible to motorists and other road users during the night time.. That said, I’m really not looking forward to the possibility of too many Nyan cats flooding our city streets..Hey, as long as it saves lives and gives you a reason to get on the bike, I’m all for it :)
Gadget/tech stuff blog Gizmodo offers the following details:
Not sure what happened to this motorcyclist to create such a ruckus on the street. But one thing is damn clear – he/she is not fit to operate a motor vehicle, EVER. Ridiculous!

Pretty cool stuff. Artist Lorenz Quinn sculpted this one and used his own car. Check out his website.

According to KMBC-TV, California Highway Patrol pulled over the man in bunny costume for not wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle on Interstate 8 in suburban San Diego on Saturday (the day before Easter). Reportedly the Bunny Man (or funny man?) was on his way to an Easter charity event. Looks like he got away with a warning but no tickets.
This vintage photo dates back to 1939 and was posted on the new Tumblr blog, FOUND, created by National Geographic in honor of its 125th anniversary.
As Mashable.com reports, the non-profit has joined Tumblr to showcase “FOUND,” a collection of rare photos from the National Geographic archives. According to the site, most of the photos have never been published, and were rarely seen by the public until now. National Geographic hopes digitizing the archive will also help identify the original date or location of the photos, since many are missing that information.
